Madison Skort

Do you know how hard it is to find a kids bottle green knit skort? I didn’t either until I started searching all the uniform stocks to find supplies of black and navy quite plentiful but green constantly sold out! Sewing machine to the rescue!
First up was sourcing some bottle green knit….thank you Lush Fabrics (Australia) for stocking Bottle Green Cotton Spandex! I actually managed to pick this up in the back to school sale earlier this year which was even better! Now for a pattern…After a quick search I settled on the Kid’s Madison Skort pattern from Ellie and Mac Patterns.

For this make I used the Ellie & Mac Madison Skort (aff link)The pattern itself was quite simple- waistband, shorts back and front, skirt back and front.

It is times like this that I realise how much I love my projector….new pattern downloaded, pattern projected onto cutting mat, fabric cut and project sewed all in under 20 minutes! And voila just like that I have a new skort for school….just in time for the cooler weather!

And voila just like that we have a new skort for school….sadly it has been finished just in time for the cooler weather to set in!

Happy Sewing,

Tara xx
