Have you ever looked at an outfit and thought, I wish I could make that?
Recently feeling like Alice I tumbled down a virtual rabbit hole into the wonderland of Pinterest. With literally billions of images I was able to find an endless supply of outfits to gain style ideas and spark inspiration for a number of future sews.
It wasn’t long before I stumbled across a cable knit sweater that I loved. Without any suitable fabric in my stash I made a mad dash to my local spotlight store in the hope that late spring was not too late to score some of their winter knit fabric. Scouring the isles it was not looking promising until….GASP! What is that hiding in the depths of the clearance table?? Score! 1.8m left of pink cable knit! So for a grand total of $18AUD I was on my way.
Being a projector sewist really helped with this make…from purchasing & downloading the pattern to having it all cut took approx 35mins.
A quick break to cook dinner for the family, I was then at the machine to start assembling. Following the easy step by step instructions in the tutorial, less than 40 minutes later and without needing to use the stitch unpicked I had myself a new sweater!
To round out this pinspiration challenge I was off to take photos of my new make…..I think it took longer to pose and find a picture I was happy with than it did to make the top!
